You know what, I always saw this fruit on T.V being advertised to promote California. The commercial always includes people joyfully smiling and being at peace. Whether the commercial still airs or not, the one impression left with me is how people were always happy and in a mood while indulging this fruit. Personally speaking, I believe it’s one of the most overused and underrated fruits of all time. The green grape, popular out of all the colors in its spectrum, (Red, Black, Dark Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange, and Pink). Grapes are known to be one of the oldest fruits dating back to 6-8 thousand years ago.
From wine to chicken salad, jam, jelly, raisins, vinegar, the consumption of grapes are endless. Surprisingly grapes are actually known as berries. Statistics say that 72 million of the berries are grown worldwide producing 7.2 trillion gallons of wine per year.
Other statistics of grapes are actually from their health benefits. Fruits that help fight diseases and illness are essential and grapes can help fight symptoms of Cancer, Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure, Constipation, Allergies, Diabetes and even Acne. Grapes are high in antioxidants important for eye health and have vitamins such as Vitamin A and C.
